The urologist is the reference physician for the early diagnosis and early treatment of diseases and functional impairment of the male urogenital area; as a doctor for men the urologist is to the man what the gynaecologist is to the woman. The AndroCHECK-programme defines the algorithms for specific urological clarifications and makes the urologist the first specialist contact person for specific male health problems. AndroCHECK, the programme of the Austrian urologist for ensuring the health and quality of life of men over the age of 45, includes early detection and timely treatment of prostate carcinoma with a curative therapy approach.
What happens at the AndroCHECK?
Regular check-up of the urinary bladder (cancer; age changes of the urinary bladder, lithiasis), bladder emptying, early detection and treatment of any complaints. Detection and evaluation of symptoms and complaints, which are related to hormonal changes in the aging man; if necessary technically established hormone substitution.
