Uncontrolled loss of urine is a taboo subject in our society. This complaint can have various causes: pregnancy, vaginal births, constitutional weakness, but also wrong manner of behaviour in everyday life. If the desired success is not achieved after clarification and appropriate therapy, minimally invasive surgical methods are an option nowadays. This also applies to male urinary incontinence. The incontinence of men is about to lose its existing taboo character. In general awareness it is becoming a treatable condition, just like female incontinence. The therapy has to take into account the anatomical differences as well as the different developing mechanisms of male incontinence.
