Empathy with the patient is the basic requirement of my work as a doctor. Our mutual communication is based on your personal characteristics, particularities and needs as well as on my medical experience. I treat my patients to the best of my knowledge and according to the latest medical standards. The main areas of my clinical-scientific work are infections in gynaecology as well as obstetrics.

In addition to general gynaecological, breast or pregnancy examinations as well as prevention in gynaecology overall, the focus of my work lies on the individual care of my patients with acute and chronic gynaecological and obstetrical infections. The main activities of my medical practice are the treatment with probiotics and especially infection treatments to prevent premature births.
I can additionally offer care for the patients in English, Croatian, Serbian, Bosnian.
I started my medical studies at the University of Belgrad, but my way led me to Vienna where I also finished my doctorate. I completed my training as a specialist at the University Clinic for Gynaecology at the AKH Vienna. As part of my training, I also worked in the department of Infection- and Tropical Medicine and the urologic and surgical department at the Kaiser-Franz-Josef-Spital. Additionally, I worked at the surgical department of the SMZ Floridsdorf
As specialist / senior physician for obstetrics and gynaecology, head of the infection team and microbiological laboratory for gynaecological and obstetrical infections, I work at the Medical University Vienna, Universitätsklink für Frauenheilkunde des AKH Vienna. In the course of my further training, I have obtained the certificate IRCAD-ETIS Laparoscopic Training Center, University of Strasbourg, France.
Course: Advanced Techniques in Operative Gynaecological Endoscopy.
I stayed several times abroad: Brazil, University Sao Paolo, Serbia, University Belgrad.
Furthermore, I have acquired the following certificates: “Mega Code group training for doctors” of the Austrian Red Cross, Lufthansa Star Alliance: “Doc on Board” qualification.
Since 2010 I am board member, and since 2014 second vice president of the European Society for Infectious Diseases in Obstetrics and Gynaecology (ESIDOG) Austrian Commission.
In April 2016 I was elected to the board of the International Society for Infectious Diseases in Obstetrics and Gynaecology (ISIDOG). As chairman of the board I lead the scientific council of this international professional society.
Besides my clinical work, I teach students at the Medical University Vienna, lead several clinical-scientific projects and am the author of numerous scientific publications as well as official reviewer of several international medical journals.
